1. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the store and serve you:
Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and the password you set when registering.
Order and delivery information: billing and shipping address, the items you order, and your order history.
Payment information: your card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Tap Payments. We do not receive or store your full card number or CVV — only limited confirmation details (such as the result of the transaction and a reference number) needed to manage your order.
Communications: messages you send us by email, contact form, WhatsApp, or social media.
Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 5).
2. How we use your information
We use your personal data to:
– create and manage your account;
– process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and contact you about them;
– handle returns, refunds, and exchanges;
– provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
– send marketing messages and offers only where you have given consent, which you may withdraw at any time;
– detect and prevent fraud, and keep the store secure;
– meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations; and
– improve our products, website, and service.
3. Legal basis and consent
Under the PDPL, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent and/or to perform the contract between us when you place an order. Where processing relies on consent — such as marketing communications — you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted parties who help us operate the store, and only as far as needed:
Tap Payments — to process card payments securely.
Delivery and courier partners — to deliver your orders.
Website histing provider — to host our website.
Analytics providers — to understand and improve site usage.
Authorities or advisors — where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your preferences, keep your session secure, and measure traffic through analytics tools such as Google Analytics. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the store may not work properly without them.
6. International data transfers
Some of our service providers (for example, hosting, analytics, and payment processing) may store or process data on servers located outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. Where this happens, we take steps consistent with the PDPL to ensure your data remains protected, and — where required by law — we rely on your consent for such transfers.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to provide our services, manage your account, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. These include secure (HTTPS) connections, restricted access, and using a PCI-compliant payment provider. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at all times.
9. Your rights under the PDPL
As a data subject, you have the right to:
– be informed about how your personal data is used;
– access the personal data we hold about you;
– request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
– request deletion of your data where it is no longer needed or is processed unlawfully;
– object to direct marketing; and
– withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@seelunablu.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you may also file a complaint with Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Authority (PDPA).
10. Children’s privacy
Our store is intended for customers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be notified through the website. Please review it periodically.
